Our Rooms

Thirteen House has 5 bedrooms, all located on the second floor, and sleeps 10 people. Three bedrooms feature private bathrooms, while two twin bedrooms—each with two twin beds—share a bath in the hallway. A washer/dryer is also available on the second floor and available for your use. The house is heated (of course!) and has central air conditioning for your comfort in summer. Please note there is no television or cable at Thirteen House (imagine that!) but WiFi is provided, as are AM/FM clock radios in most rooms.

Western Wind—Master King Room – $275*
The master king bedroom, known as the Western Wind room, features a pillow-top king bed, Stickley bedside end tables, antique dresser with mirror, sofa, full closet and private bath with double sinks and combined shower and tub. This room is located on the west side of Thirteen House, overlooking the back yard and its park-like setting. An iron and mini-ironing board are provided for your use.

East of the Sun—King Room – $250*
Thirteen House’s second spacious king room, known as the East of the Sun room, features a pillow-top king bed, wonderful Stickley bedside end tables, antique dresser with mirror, full closet, upholstered rocking chair and reading lamp. The private bath features a walk-in shower. This room is located on the east side of Thirteen House, overlooking the back yard and its park-like setting. An iron and mini-ironing board are provided for your use.

Aphrodite—Queen Room – $230*
Thirteen House’s third bedroom with private bath features a queen bed, end tables, and antique dresser with mirror, rocking chair, and armoire. The private bath features a walk-in shower. This room is located at the front of the house overlooking College Street.

Northern Twin – $195*
The Northern Twin room features two twin beds suitable for children or adults, antique dresser and full closet. The twin bedrooms at Thirteen House share a bathroom with a combined shower and tub located, just across the hall. This room is located toward the northern end (College Street side) of the second floor hallway.

Southern Twin – $195*
The Southern Twin room features two twin beds suitable for children or adults, antique dresser and full closet. The twin bedrooms at Thirteen House share a bathroom with a combined shower and tub located, just across the hall. This room is located toward the southern (rear) end of the second floor hallway.

*Pricing

Thirteen House pricing is competitive when compared to local alternatives and affords guests access to the entire house. Pricing is designed to offset some—but by no means all—costs associated with operating Thirteen House. Colgate 13 parents and alumni enjoy a 25% discount off the first two nights.

Room prices shown are per night and require a two-night minimum. Excluding Family Weekend, Graduation and Reunion, your third and fourth nights are priced at 50%. Example: Western Wind King is $275/night for your first two nights, then $137.50/night for your third and fourth nights only. 4% Madison County Occupancy Tax then applies.

Summer, Holidays in Hamilton: Discounted weekly and whole-house rental is available for families looking for that getaway to bucolic Hamilton in summer, winter holidays, etc.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the popularity of Thirteen House, reservations cannot be cancelled once they are made. Please do not make a reservation until you are certain you will be using the house.
